Job Description:

  • Serves as the strategic advisor and business partner to the leadership and management teams.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
  • Prepares recommendations to top management concerning human resource policies and practices
  • Directly supervises HR Business Partners, including: provides leadership to, makes recommendations for termination, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff.
  • Leads in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Actively works to establish close trust-based relationship with sector senior management to ensure that business objectives and HR objectives are linked.
  • Leads employee engagement and retention initiatives organizationally.
  • Leads investigation and advises HR team members, and management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues in conjunction with legal counsel.
  • Executes and coordinates training programs (i.e. leadership, compliance, performance)
  • Leads succession planning, and leadership training initiatives.
  • Leads staff meetings for direct reports.  Participates in and may contribute to organizational, sector and department staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars.
  • Evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of sectors and department in relation to established goals.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of organization, department and services performed.
  • Monitors legal regulation changes and updates. Ensures that programs, practices, and policies comply with applicable laws and regulations concerning employment.


Knowledge and skills

  • Considerable knowledge of legal and employee relations, and compliance regulations.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.  
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with executive training programs.
  • Must be comfortable executing training for all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of compensation and related issues



Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of Human Resources experience, OR
  • A Master' degree in Human Resources Management or Business Administration and three (6) years of experience in the HR field, OR
  • Any similar combination of education and experience.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
  • Must be able to travel 25%
