  • Overview

    KeyW Corporation is currently seeking an Application Systems Analyst with a Top Secret clearance located in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with developers, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
    • Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures.
    • Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software’s business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with internal users and departments.
    • Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
    • Research, identify, analyze, and fulfill requirements of all internal and external program users.
    • Conduct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.
    • Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of new software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.
    • Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements and upgrades.
    • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
    • Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.
    • Generate statistics and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the programming process.

    Qualifications

    Skills and Qualifications(must include minimum years of experience and education):

    • Ability to maintain knowledge of new software products proposed during the course of a contract and major enhancements to existing software.
    • Expert in system integration, compatibility, and multiple architectural platforms.
    • Able to perform feasibility analysis on potential future architect projects. Accurately represents customer requirements and has excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral
    • Excellent technical writing skills. Able to work in an operational environment where priorities change frequently.
    • Skilled at gathering and interpreting relevant data and information.
    • Preferred to possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite of software ORACLE, MARIA DB or similar.
    • Has working knowledge of relational database environments, structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, and sampling.
    • Recommends and facilitate quality improvement efforts.
    • Provide analysis and design of business systems for different applications and other enterprise systems.
    • Handle test scripts and service requirements; work closely with end users on project development and implementation.
    • Specify the inputs to be accessed by tools and applications, design processing steps, and format the output to meet the user needs.
    • Prepare cost-benefit and ROI analyses to help management make decisions on financial feasibility of major applications.

     

    Has Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with two years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis;

    OR

    Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, Management Sciences, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related discipline with four years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis;

    OR

    Four years of relevant experience in systems analysis or business analysis.
