The GIS Analyst supports intelligence analysts with geospatial and statistical analysis in support of reporting for the region of interest. Position involves creating, locating, modifying, mapping, analyzing, and managing geospatial data; creating maps and charts for publication; and developing data management procedures. This position is heavy on data analysis with a good understanding of geospatial principles required. This is a subject matter expert (SME) position and requires the individual to be self-motivated, be able to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance, and have good communication skills to share information with others.
- 10 years’ experience in geospatial or data analysis
- ArcGIS suite of applications
- Strong capabilities with Micrcsoft Excel or Access
- Microsoft Office suite of products
- RemoteView and familiarity of imagery analysis
- Python, Java
- Familiarity with statistical analysis
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training or work experience.
