  • Overview

    KeyW Corporation is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with a current TS/SCI clearance located in Springfield, VA.

    Responsibilities

    The Systems Engineer will be responsible for:

    • Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements.
    • Scheduling installations and upgrades and maintaining them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
    • Monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
    • Ensuring workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
    • Supporting media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
    • Developing and promoting standard operating procedures for all costumer related systems.
    • Perform system administrator security functions to ensure GeoAxis or other security accreditation processes.
    • Gather information; provide analysis, advice, options, recommendations, or ideas in support of AGCMS software management and integration of programs, projects, and acquisitions related to the AGCMS infrastructure.
    • The contractor shall facilitate the communication and coordination of AGCMS issues in order to help the Government personnel better manage customer service within the AGCMS operations.
    • Develop AGCMS metrics analysis capabilities to facilitate Root Cause Analysis and Trends Analysis initiatives in support of the Problem Management Process.
    • Support enterprise end-to-end throughput analysis activities by providing Systems Admin (Sys Admin) support and by writing scripts that facilitate data collection and analysis efforts for these activities.
    • Support AGCMS required operational testing and ad hoc customer requests/changes.
    • Coordinate with Infrastructure Service Provider (ISP) for issues related to installation and on-going operations.
    • Provide support to the appropriate ATS organization / branch to ensure that the organization / branch is efficient and effective in optimally addressing Government needs and customer requirements.
    • Monthly project status reports, contractor fund status reports, briefings and process/project design review charts as required.
    • Assist with the implementation of the Program Management Plan for ATS Divisions to include integration of existing policies and processes, a strategic roadmap for the advancement of operations management technologies and best practices, and integration of process and organizational changes.
    • Deliver monthly access, update and use statistics for the Office of Science and Methodology leadership to identify successes and areas for improvement.
    • Assist in the creation of ATS Concept of operations.

    Qualifications

    Minimum requirements include:

    • TS/SCI clearance
    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5+ years of relevant experience
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with advanced system engineering/architecture/administration of large and distributed environments
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with esri software suite and PostGres (geo)database administration.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience building infrastructure in AWS, Ec2, or migrating private hardware and software resources into Enterprise-hosting environments.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with LINUX/UNIX (RHEL, CENTOS, Scientific Linux) and Windows operating systems and BASH scripting.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience familiarity with DEVOPS, automation practices, and continuous delivery methodologies.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with proactive monitoring concepts, SNMP, Relational databases.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with internet/web related protocols and technologies to include Apache, Tomcat, Web Services, DNS, SSL and web hosting providers.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience scripting in Shell, Perl, or Python.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience automating routine operations through scripts or tool sets.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience with AWS services, AMI creation, S3 storage storage, EBS, and EBS optimization SQL, PL/SQL/ Linux shell scripting, Git/GIT HUB, PKI.
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience releasing components in accordance with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFE) requirements
    • Demonstrated on-the-job experience mitigating security issues using policies and other security software within Sponsor's environment

    This position requires that the candidate possess a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
