    KeyW Corporation is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to support our customer in Quantico, VA.

     

    Responsibilities

    Qualified candidates will perform Logistical and Network/Administration Management Services to the customer's operations including administration and maintenance of LABNet and all related components of the LABNet network.

    This will include but is not limited to procurement of IT equipment, storage, software, scientific equipment, network components and other related and ancillary items and also includes services such as Network Administration, System Administration, System Support, System Architecture Support, Maintenance, and Configuration of the LABNet network, all components supported and all directories and storage associated therein.

     

    The Information Systems Security Engineer will:

    • Provide technical services, oversight, and support in all aspects of program related security to include, but not limited to, certification/accreditation, security best practices, security engineering, security enforcement, security development and implementation.
    • Ensure that systems being developed by third party vendors conform to Government security regulations; remain current on industry security standards and threats to information systems; keep the Government apprised of risks to IT systems under development.
    • Conduct security scans and work with third party vendor to ensure required security patches are applied.
    • Support all security related activities including Security Assessments for the LIMS and the LABNet Network. - Leads all activities surrounding C&A.
    • Inform PMO of all security rules and policies within the Federal Government impacting or having an impact on the program.
    • Maintain a close and continuous relationship with stakeholders of the program such as contractors, Security Division, CJIS, HQ, etc.
    • Manage data spill cleanup efforts for the LIMS and LABNet. - Updates and maintains the LABNet System Security Plan (SSP).
    • Conduct security system scans as required by Security Division (SecD).
    • Conduct LABNet FISMA reporting and all updates to Risk Vision

     

    Qualifications

    • Experience is required in the following areas of IT Security: Certification and Accreditation, Intrusion Detection, Network Vulnerability Assessments and Incident Response.
    • Previous experience writing and implementing a System Security Plan (SSP) is desired.
    • Certified in at least one of the following: International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC); Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), the Global Information Assurance Certification (SANS) GIAC Information Security Professional (GISP), or the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or other DoD 8570.1 IAM Level II certification.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills required.
    • Previous experience working with the customer is preferred. - Understanding of Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) guidelines is preferred.
    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, Mathematics, or Engineering, and five years of comparable work experience; or ten years of comparable work experience in information systems security-related field preferred.
    • Minimum of five years experience in Network and Security Engineering for a Federal Government entity.
    • Top secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI with Poly

    This position requires that the candidate possess a Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain an SCI with Poly

    Clearance

    Clearance: Positions require a Top Secret security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government
