  • Overview

    The Advanced Cyber Technical Director will report to the Senior Vice President of KeyW’s Advanced Cyber Operations Sector (ACOS). This individual will be responsible for representing all of KeyW’s technical capabilities in support of ACOS requirements and opportunities. This role will include activities such as being a technical SME on any of KeyW’s capabilities at industry and customer meetings, architecting technical solutions, writing white papers, mentoring employees, hosting internal and external technical discussions and learning sessions, collaborating with other technical experts, and/or developing and leading IR&D programs. The Technical Director is responsible for collaborating with Business Development, Capture and Operations to identify, shape and capture new business that will leverage are existing contracts to capture high end development contracts that align with our current operational contracts. This position requires a results-oriented, self-driven, hard-working individual with excellent interpersonal and writing skills who takes initiative.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with technically diverse and distributed teams to provide technology, architecture design and system review supporting new business capture. Provide comprehensive strategic roadmaps based on technology trends and business needs, as well as strategic marketing messaging and themes.
    • Provide expertise on technologies and innovative technical solutions that will differentiate KeyW pursuit offerings.
    • Lead the approach and shaping activities for the Capture Management strategy and execution to qualify new business opportunities within the ACOS pipeline
    • Support large strategic bids including development of technical solutions and win strategies
    • Provide leadership and execution of effective capture plans utilizing established internal tools and processes
    • Translate requirements into robust win strategy, carefully tested and validated, and advances strategy to management and technical design with strong value proposition and differentiated bid elements based on compelling features and benefits
    • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to sustain operational excellence, resolve conflicts, and achieve customer satisfaction
    • Coalesce with ACOS team members, BD, operational leadership, and SMEs to build and execute call plans to position KeyW for successful pursuits
    • Must gather and assesses, and validates customer requirements working closely with BD leads -- identifies related customer needs and constraints that impact winning solution
    • Conducts and participates in gate, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews; leads and documents lessons learned
    • Evaluate probable competition and their relative technical strengths and threats -- conducts Black-hats, competitive scenarios, etc.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant technical, or professional field of study
    • Requires 10 or more years of leadership in the Intelligence Community
    • Demonstrated success in a leadership role including winning capture teams, effectively collaborating with assigned assets, subject & technical matter experts, functional leads, and Program Managers
    • Exceptional technical knowledge, understanding, and interest with an emphasis on Computer Network Operations/Computer Network Exploitation (CNO/CNE)
    • Solid network and extensive customer knowledge (including Title 10/50) in the client base with proven ability to build new and existing business leveraging connections at NSA/IC partners, and USCC and military cyber services
    • Ability to describe the technical architecture requirements for large-scale CNO/CNE projects
    • Ability to describe in depth the operational concepts that drive technical architecture and mission infrastructure requirements for large-scale CNO/CNE projects
    • Understanding of prevalent tools & technologies to support Cyber Situational Awareness
    • Ability to describe in depth the various techniques and challenges for CNO software development tasks
    • Ability to describe methods and benefits of employing virtualized environments to conduct operations, testing, development, and training in the CNO/CNE market space
    • Experience directly supporting special access required programs for the Federal Government
    • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships with senior-level customers, technical staff, managers, peers, and candidates
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize, and ability to work additional hours as needed.
    • Must be able to identify gaps and develops strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks
    • Must have the ability to identify emerging trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management, and demonstrate the ability to influence constructively and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure.
    • Must have demonstrated proficiency in developing and qualifying new business opportunities
    • Ability to travel, as needed
    • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and business acumen
    • Ability to deliver and willingness to provide effective coaching, mentoring, and training
    • Confidence and experience dealing with senior executives; ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time sensitive, and often multi-tasking environment

     

    Preferred Qualifications

     

    • A proven history and bias for action and an orientation towards solving rather than solely identifying problem areas is a preferred characteristic of the ideal candidate.

    Clearance: A candidate must have a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
