The successful SE will serve as a team member in a ‘cloud centric’ customer outreach environment. Responsibilities include consulting and educating potential and current customers on Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments. Support customer’s migration of data and systems to the AWS platform. Analyze system requirements to support design and development activities, for the transition of complex systems, or the creation of new cloud-based capabilities. The successful SE will guide users in formulating Functional and System level requirements, advise and evaluate on alternative solutions, conduct feasibility studies and other duties as necessary. The candidate will review DoD documentation such as Initial Capability Documents, Capability Development Document/Statement of Capability, Information Support Plan, System Security Plan et. al., review and contribute to system architecture documentation following the DoDAF standard as required
-Be comfortable working closely with senior government and military representatives
- Possess experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform
-Demonstrate ability to understand complex system architectures and recommend strategies for AWS migration
- Be familiar with the AWS management console, Identity and Access Management (IAM) security model, and resource provisioning
-Demonstrate strong communication and inter-personal skills, working within a gamut of user experience from novice to expert
-Work independently and in a team environment
-Engage with customers individually or in groups – while functioning as an individual or a team member
-Be a self-starter with minimal oversight and maintain a positive and helpful attitude
-Be able to independently research issues to resolution – document and communicate the solution
-Be able to support periodic travel to support working group meetings or customer related events
Degree and years of experience Required: Master's Degree in Technical field with 8-10 years, or a Bachelors with 10-12 years or a PHD with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
