  • Overview

     

    Sensors Processing and Systems Development Division (SPSD) of the Survey and Exploration Systems Sector develops airborne and space ISR systems.  SPSD has a forthcoming need for a restricted Air Force program in Melbourne, FL and seeks a highly motivated and creative scientist to provide research, modeling and analysis of specialized nuclear phenomenology data sources and sensors.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Review current analysis methods and develop new and unique processes and algorithms applicable to nuclear physics phenomenology.
    • Support algorithm development consisting of advanced methodologies for fusion of multi-phenomena data sources to include proper ingestion, interpretation and data reduction.
    • Maintain a leading edge in the customer science base by continuously updating analytical best practices within established collection and processing systems.
    • Interface with government personnel, vendors, contractors, national laboratory personnel, academia and other subject matter experts through teleconferencing, briefings working groups and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), as needed.
    • Provide support in understanding customer missions, determining solutions, and providing support proposal generation to capture funding for those solutions.

     

    Qualifications

    Required:

     

    • THIS POSITION REQUIRES AT TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE.
    • Masters' or Bachelors' degree in electrical engineering, physics or related engineering disciplines.
    • 5-10 years of demonstrated years of demonstrated experience in nuclear phenomenology detection or analysis systems.

    Preferred:

    • MATLAB Signal Processing experience; JAVA programming Language
