KeyW Corporation is seeking an Employee Relations Manager to join their human resources team in Hanover, MD.


The Employee Relations Manager with KeyW promotes employee engagement, handles and mediates employee disputes, and assists with programs to promote employee retention. Investigates and resolves EEO complaints, discrimination charges and other problem areas.  Initiates and conducts timely investigations, prepares documentation and makes recommendations for corrective/disciplinary actions. Advises and mentors other members of the HR team in the handling of employee relations issues.  May provide HR Business Partner support to a division or department as necessary.  Creates workforce templates, processes/procedures, and policies as necessary; researches and establishes best workplace practices; and ensures compliance with new laws/regulations.  Creates and delivers employee relations training and participates in management training as necessary.  Carries out the Corporate Equal Employment Opportunity programs in compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination legislation and management’s directives.  Conducts internal audits of policies, practices and procedures to identify possible violations, complies and submits required EEO statistical reports.  Assists with SOX and ISO compliance/audits.  Responsible for establishing ADA/FMLA/Worker’s Compensation best practices and processes.  Coordinates and implements diversity programs and initiatives.  Analyzes industry and company statistics for the purpose of diversity representation.  Assists with establishing and maintaining the KeyW Insider Threat program.  Assists with and/or prepares Annual EEO-1 reports, affirmative action plan and other Federal and state EEO reports upon request.  Works closely with executive leadership team, security, legal, Ethics, and compliance. 


  • Must be able to apply extensive technical expertise.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills. 
  • Possess exceptional organization and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Must be responsible for designing solutions to complex problems and will exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. 
  • Bachelor’s (or equivalent) with 8-10 years of experience, or a Master’s with 6-8 years of experience.
