Candidate must demonstrate experience in Java in a Linux or UNIX development environment, and contribution to the design and development of some facet of a fielded collection system. An Understanding of signal process flow from sensor to follow-on processor is ideal.
The Software Engineer (SWE) shall possess the following capabilities:
(U) analyzed user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
(U) designed and coded new software or modified existing software to add new features
(U) debugged existing software and corrected problems
(U) integrated existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments
(U) developed simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories
(U) provided recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
(U) developed or implemented algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards
(U) assisted with developing and executing test procedures for software components
(U) wrote or reviewed software and system documentation
(U) developed software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, con-ferred with users or system engineer: analyzed systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigated problem areas
(U) served as a team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used
(U) modified existing software to correct errors to adapt to new hardware, or to im-prove its performance
(U) designed, developed and modified software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
(U) designed or implemented complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
Seven (7) to fourteen (14) years of experience as SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
One (1) year of SIGINT RF domain experience, and experience in digital signal processing using signals analysis tools.
