License oversight for applications such as MATLAB or Office
Be able to quote/build hardware systems based on requirements
Capable of setting up new computer systems to comply with security policies and user requirements
Filemaker maintenance (relational databases). Needs to be able to learn software quickly
Should be hands-off but needed to create new databases and/or modify existing ones
Basement network maintenance. Goes hand-in-hand with DSA network
Organize and maintain computer systems even if not listed as POC (to report to Jeff and Preston).
Keep software up to date as well as operating systems of Linux, Windows, and Mac
Maintain shared computational resources that support MATLAB for the basement as well as other processes
Maintain network allocations to NICENET via Jeff and Preston (includes all printers and spare computers)
Be able to keep systems classified/unclassified as well as switch between the two (de-class procedures etc)
General programming support for users
This includes creating new code for applications or scripts users use to interact with lab services
Be able to secure breaches in computer security
Be up to date on new technologies to utilize in the basement (i.e. Apple TV, personal networks, etc..)
Be able to manufacture infrastructure for computer systems or networks (server racks, network trays, etc…)
Be able to design and manufacture custom pieces of hardware (bulkhead plates, organizational hardware, rack-mounting hardware, etc…)
Organize and keep track of hardware being used offsite or being transferred
Documentation building for any kind of system (any tests done at CBD, user manuals, instructional documentation)
Maintain medium sized network (this includes VLAN management, switch management)
Securely scan systems for breaches in security using ACAS system
Utilize services such as NTP, DHCP, DNS, etc…
Understand backup utilities for all operating systems
Rsync, windows backup, NAS
Understand basic RF components for maintenance and operation
Be able to configure KVM solutions from scratch
Maintain user accounts for when they inevitably need unlocking or changing
Operate MLCS and other software that makes up the INTOP systems
Maintain VOIP phones as well as IP cameras
Maintain classified and unclassified separation for files and systems
Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
