Responsibilities

Systems Engineer will support the Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO) and Support Services Transformation Office in the evolution through modernization and transformation of enterprise IT to enable a more agile and innovative use of technology critical in supporting the FBI mission.

 

Job Description:

 

The Systems Engineer will utilize previous technical hands on experience to:

  • Develop and support the architecture and engineering standards evaluation packages
  • Develop documents to support the enterprise architecture board
  • Transcribe meeting notes and maintain documents on the EAO team site
  • Develop architecture products that include but are not limited to transition and sequencing plans, performance of gap analysis and target recommendations, and performance of mission/business analysis and reference architectures.
  • Support system architecture from the ground up by interacting with internal users and customers to learn and document architectural requirements.
  • Play a role in supporting the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Architecture tools and repository, collaborating and supporting non-EAO FBI customers of the EA data and users of the tool.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Possess and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other IT related discipline.
  • Minimum three of years of experience in the development of specifications and design of systems using a variety of computer languages, database management systems, operating systems, architectures, and peripheral devices to meet project needs.
  • Able to work under general supervision as a team leader performing related tasks, balancing resources and schedules, responding to unusual situations, organizing, and analyzing data, producing reports and documentation.
  • Ability to apply formal software development methodologies and off the shelf development tools (e.g. CASE tools), and may include the design of other tools as needed.
  • Ability to work within tight constraints on tasks that involve engineering, scientific, mathematical, computer science, multimedia, or business applications.

 

 

Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Top Secret Clearance.
