Under the guidance of a Senior Scientist (PhD level) develop a processing chain for the production processing of large volumes of raw radar data into image chips. Execute the processing chain to create large area ortho-rectified image mosaics that are geometrically accurate and radiometrically balanced. Perform quality control, and periodic release management of image products to the client.
Assist in the development of image analysis training materials and in the instruction of image analysts in interpreting scenes for the purpose of land cover / land use classification.
Skills and Qualifications:
A masters degree or PhD (candidate) in EE, Physics, or applied mathematics, and experience in synthetic aperture radar, imaging systems, and signal processing, with experience in algorithm and software development. Proficient in developing computer programs using Matlab, C/C++, phyton, or java on Linux and Windows systems.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance. A Top Secret/SCI security clearance is highly desired but not required initially. An initial SECRET clearance is highly desired. If necessary, clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
