As the lead sensor operator, participate in the development, integration and evaluation of synthetic aperture radar technology into existing naval aviation system such as the P-3, P-8, and MH-60R/S, with emphasis on the effective integration of the system into the avionics/sensors suite of current naval surveillance platforms. Support the development of the CONOPs, ICD, Test and Eval plans, and product sustainment plans; Develop the operator manuals, training materials, and maintenance manuals and support the delivery of the system hardware, software and associated technical data package: Participate in field trials, and the after action development tasks.
Desired candidate is a former navy or air force radar sensor operator, with experience in ASW, ASuW, and counter mine warfare; must be familiar with the on-board exploitation in the back of VPU assets. Candidates could be a retired CPO with experience with the APS-137 or APS 153; P-3 sensor operations; preparing training materials, performing instruction of navy aviation operators. Must be willing to deploy and have a current aviation medical certificate.
Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Secret.
