As the prime contractor, KeyW supports the Army Software Engineering Center (SEC) ISD providing C4ISR engineering, R&D, logistics, acquisition support and training for the Distributed Common Ground System-Army (DCGS-A). DCGS-A Integration team provides system engineering, software development, information security, program management, training, technical writing, property management, facility planning, and quality assurance staff to support the program. Sotera performs services at government sites including Ft. Huachuca and Ft. Hood and maintains an off-site facility staffed with TS/SCI and SECRET cleared personnel.



This position will be expected to cover technical information security aspects including, but not limited to, identifying risks, providing mitigation plan of action,  configuration of devices in accordance with STIG settings,  analysis of system design,  assist with certification and accreditation issues that may be preventing the system from receiving ATO,  and develop custom mitigation solutions for enterprise vulnerabilities.




  • VMware Certified Professional-Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV) v5 or v6 experience including security hardening (STIG/SRG); preferred qualifications are:
  • VMware Virtual Center Server Appliance (VCSA) version 6.5
  • vSphere Command-Line Interface (vCLI) version 5 and above
  • Networking skills equivalent to Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Oracle experience:
  • Oracle Engineering experience with operating systems, security hardening (STIG/SRG), schema, data management, data in motion, and data at rest encryption experience
  • Oracle Database Administration (Database and infrastructure) with security hardening (STIG/SRG) experience
  • ArcGIS plug-in developer or subject matter expert
  • Administration and security hardening (STIG/SRG) experience with:
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 6 and 7; preferred qualification is RHEL Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
  • Windows Server
  • Windows Desktop
  • Apache Tomcat
  • Engineer software solutions for Software Change Requests using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Structured Query Language (SQL), Perl
  • Collective ability will span all languages
  • Any missing languages correlate to systems and artifacts that can’t be supported
  • Assess software change requests and provide an updated approach and level of effort
  • Perform computer security engineering such as hardening a system using published STIGs or SRG
  • Perform artifact assessment and resolution development for Oracle products, specifically v11.2.0.4 through v12.1.0.2 (‘12c’); requires Oracle Engineer skills
  • Public Key Infrastructure, Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and Transport Layer Security (TLS) engineering
  • Security vulnerability scanning and evaluation using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), and manual STIG verification methodology
  • Ability to read and understand requirements documents and derived requirements, and evaluate for them engineering implementation
  • Ability to communicate directly with software vendor support to resolve issues

Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Secret Security Clearance, based on current background investigation.
