Overview

The Vice President, Business Development Operations will be responsible for the organization and management of all internal business development resources necessary to ensure the success of the corporate business development team. The VP, BD operations will leverage the company’s portfolio of prime IDIQ contracts to drive overall organic growth for KeyW.  Duties include working with the operating units to identify ways to use the IDIQ portfolio and proposal resources of the company to bid and capture new business opportunities. The VP, BD Operations will utilize existing and future IDIQ contracts to expand KeyW’s customer base in specific markets, primarily as a prime contractor working directly with and for Government customers.  Other responsibilities include strategic planning, inter-organizational coordination with business development and operational components and other service center functional components. The VP, BD Operations will be called on for senior-level customer interaction, formation of company business alliances with major industry partners and overall intra- and inter-company support to build and execute a qualified pipeline of new business task order opportunities aligned with KeyW’s core market areas. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies and objectives to utilize the IDIQ portfolio to identify and develop of new customers and new markets
  • Manage all Proposal Operations including proposal development, proposal production and proposal compliance
  • Represent the Company to Government IDIQ customers and solidify and grow customer/Company relationships
  • Assist in developing and maintaining strategic supplier, contractor, academia and other professional relationships for the Company
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the EVP, Business Development and Strategy in line with the organic growth objectives of the Company

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will have ten plus years of of business development experience and a track record of strong program management accomplishments in the Intelligence an/or Department of Defense marketplace.  He or she must be a winner, bottom line oriented, and success driven to compete in today's market.  Candidate will have held a position as a senior program and business development professional with a technical services and solutions organization in the Federal market space - individual must have a strong desire to win
  • The candidate must have a strong hands-on business development background with documented success leading and winning large strategic captures exceeding $500M for single award contracts and $5 billion or more for multiple award contracts.The candidate must have a strong and deep technical background and understanding that will allow them to quickly adapt and thrive in today’s market environment. 
  • The ideal candidate will have built and run Business Development and Capture organizations for other Federal services and solutions companies and have had success in multiple market segments (i.e., prove that they are adaptable and can win in changing markets).
  • Candidate must have Federal Procurement knowledge and understand contracting requirement of the Federal Services business.  He or she should have both an external and internal focus and be aware of issues surrounding customer capture, satisfaction, and retention in government services. 

Clearance Requirement: This position requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI).  Clearance  processing will be completed by the U.S. Government.
